We talk with fashion IT girl Rozalia Russian about fashion, style and the growing pastel trend we are seeing and loving. Rozalia wears two of our favourite pastels that have recently hit the shelves, the Flex Appeal 2.0 – First Impression and the Studio Comfort – Life Line.
We absolutely love your style and the way you manage to put your outfits together! What is the most important thing about fashion to you?
For me fashion isn't about wearing something that's always "in fashion", it's about dressing for yourself and what you love. Everyone has their own individual style. I love and admire people who have fun with fashion and are excited to try new things!
How would you describe your current style?
I feel as though my current styles is almost a bit 90's. I've gone back to smaller sunglasses and currently loving bum bags as my new favourite accessory. I also love European glamour especially in the summer time. During the warmer months you will find me in prints with big statement earrings and a silk scarf in my hair!
Do you have a favourite piece you’ve been loving this Summer?
Definitely scarves in my hair.
We are seeing pastel colours everywhere this season, what do you love about the pastel trend?
Being a Melbournian I don't have a lot of colour in my wardrobe (black and more black). So when I do wear colour I always opt for a pastel tone. Pastel colours are very soft and feminine, but because they are subtle you can still have fun with your accessories and wear some amazing jewellery without it clashing too much with your outfit.
What would be your 3 top tips for incorporating pastel colours into your wardrobe?
1. Choose a pastel colour to match your complexion. I'm a brunette so I find that soft pinks suit me the best
2. If you don't like wearing too much colour than try a pair of pastel shoes and pair it back with an all white or all black outfit.
3. When wearing pastels I would stick to one colour per outfit, so either wear all pink, or all yellow. If you start mixing too many colours your outfit might start resembling a pack of highlighters!
You have a few pairs of Skechers in your wardrobe now, what do you love most about the brand?
My favourite thing about Skechers is how comfortable the shoes are!! I can literally chase after my kids all day and have no sore feet at the end! The fact that they are comfortable and stylish at the same time is a huge tick for me!
If you could give someone one piece of fashion advice now what would it be?
Have fun with your look and don’t be afraid to try something new! The world isn't going to end if you try a new style and other people may not love it, as long as you love it that is all that counts.
